2012 Les Ballets Russes

The title comes from the text Rob Scholte wrote to accompany this video. He drew my attention to an aspect I had not noticed: in a way it is unconventional and controversial what these kids do because of the pureness of their movements. Being adults we would not be able to do this.

What you see is totally naive and innocent and from Scholte’s perspective it elicites its contraire. Rob made me aware that the dark side of man is always present and that you can never deal with that in a naive way.
